Delpozo is all about strikingly stunning pieces. Almost as if we didn’t already know, Josep Font proved it once again. What we saw on the catwalk were gorgeous hummingbirds dressed in the most exquisite clothes. Delicate embellishments thoroughly placed and of course, the blossoming flower prints placed in a subtle manner. But let’s remember Delpozo is a prêt-à-couture brand so, it is perfectly normal to see breathtaking pieces and dream upon them.
What made this particular collection a unique one were the exquisitely origami tailored coats and jackets paired with the “tightly sealed hoods,” as called by the Business of Fashion, in bright shades and multicoloured lines. After colour blocking, the more intricate and astonishingly pieces came in—an off-the-shoulder knitted dress and a knitted sweater embellished with bold and bright sequins, and a dress with blooming and prominent flowers layered by an iridescent burgundy chiffon.
The distinctive texture combination on the last looks encompassed the beauty of structured silhouettes—a shimmering polychromatic top paired with a polychromatic chiffon skirt, and a glossy satin bow-top paired with a flawless pale purple skirt only to build a sculptural dress.
We mustn’t confuse this with haute couture, but we could certainly prepare ourselves to see the brand during couture week real soon. With Josep Font architectural background and his fresh aesthetic, he’s managed to create picturesque clothes for modern and elegant woman. There is no doubt we will continue to be delighted season after season.
