GIORGIO ARMANI SS'17 SHOW

A MIDSUMMER NIGHT`S SKY

Models walked fiercely on the catwalk at the Armani SS17 show today. The whole stage was organised in suffused lightning, which led the shiny floating garments stand out and literally seduce the audience. The idea at the heart of the collection was inspired by the eccentric 60s, however maintained a sensual allure in blue and purple nuances.

Key pieces were the transparent shirts, deconstructed jackets, pyramidal dresses, ruffled sleeves, big earrings and net boot sandals. Silvers, blues, navys and purples were the main colours, with some Ivorys and whites enriched with glitters and precious embroidery. Make-up was kept basic (in metallic tones) and hairdos sleek. Impossible to not notice the exotic turbans and sunglasses that completed each style. Some great pieces from menswear were also shown among the others – they remained the always classy, tasteful and timeless pieces of tailoring which the designer is so well-known for. Charmani is definitely the one of the most luxurious collections among all those we saw this season.

1 / 1

Bianca Brandolini, Olivia Palermo, Serena Williams and Anna Wintour were just few of the many big names spotted in the first row – appreciating the designer’s genius and being dazzled by the sparkle of the most elegant and sensual show so far. Almost as if we were staring at a midsummer night’s starred black sky.
