VALENTINO COUTURE SPRING 2015

THE KING AND I: RUSSIAN EDITION

Held at the Hotel de Salomon Rothschild, Valentino's Couture collection was the last major show of the Spring 2015 season. All the A-listers reunited one last time this week to appreciate the beauty of Valentino.

The collection is inspired by traditional Russian clothing. From the hair and make up, to the floral headdresses, the collection seemed to scream Russian. Perhaps, this has something to do with Russia being home to many of Valentino's loyal couture buying clients.

The orchestra playing in the background added a level of drama to the show. Many sheer skirts graced the runway along with the  Valentino's classic  long dresses. The prints were almost tapestry with a very Russian influence. The colors of the collection were mainly in the neutral tones, with khaki and deep red being the dominant colors.

The show closed with couture gown numbers which are certain to be seen on red carpets soon.

Valentino succeeds again with a collection sure to please everyone from fashion editors and celebrities to his loyal clientele who fly in every season to scope out their next purchases straight from the runway.
